CHANGING and Cybertrust Japan Showcase Matter Product Applications at CEATEC 2026

2026-10-08

Helping Home Appliance and Device Manufacturers Add Matter to Existing Products, Connect with Smart Home Ecosystems, and Move Securely into Mass Production

Building on the previously announced theme of Matter product integration and secure mass production, CHANGING and Cybertrust Japan will exhibit at CEATEC 2026 from October 13 to 16 at Makuhari Messe, Hall 7 / 7H413. The exhibit covers Matter adoption for existing Wi-Fi appliances, next-generation Wi-Fi / Thread architectures, Device Identity and secure mass production, and BLE + AI smart control for home appliance brands, device manufacturers, ODM / OEMs, and module vendors.

Existing Wi-Fi Appliances: Add Matter While Retaining Existing Designs

For air conditioners, home appliances, and other devices that already support Wi-Fi, CHANGING will use Realtek RTL8721D and RTL8721F to demonstrate Wi-Fi Matter integration, including Commissioning and control with Google Home / Google Nest. Ciot reviews the existing MCU, OS, firmware, and hardware resources to define the changes required for Matter porting, ecosystem integration, testing, and productization while minimizing full redesign.

Next-Generation Smart Devices: Compare Wi-Fi and Thread Matter Architectures

For next-generation smart appliances and connected devices, Realtek RTL8772GWP and RTL8777G will be used to illustrate Thread / Matter architectures. Ciot considers power requirements, network environment, existing hardware, target smart home ecosystem, and production conditions to determine a suitable Wi-Fi / Thread Matter architecture, including Commissioning, Border Router integration, interoperability testing, and product integration.

Matter Devices for Mass Production: Connect Device Identity with Production

When a Matter device moves into production, device identity, certificate issuance, and production-line provisioning also become part of the design. Cybertrust Japan is certified as a Matter Non-VID Scoped PAA and provides PAI and Device Attestation Certificate (DAC) services. CHANGING combines PKI, KMS, HSM, certificate lifecycle management, Secure Provisioning, and system integration to connect Device Identity and certificates with production, including DAC issuance and binding, traceability, and lifecycle management.

Existing BLE Products: Upgrade with AI Smart Control

For manufacturers not yet planning full Matter adoption, CHANGING will also present a BLE + AI upgrade using Realtek RTL8752HJF. An AI Agent interprets natural-language requests and converts them into BLE Controller commands. For example, “It’s hot and humid” triggers dehumidification, while “It’s very hot today” triggers cooling.

CHANGING stated: “Ciot starts from the customer’s existing hardware, software, and development conditions to address connectivity, Matter, and ecosystem integration. At the mass-production stage, Cybertrust Japan’s Device Identity and certificate services connect development with production.” Depending on the product stage, customers can discuss Matter upgrades for existing Wi-Fi appliances, Wi-Fi / Thread architectures for new devices, secure provisioning and traceability for production-ready Matter devices, or AI smart control for existing BLE products.

During CEATEC 2026, CHANGING and Cybertrust Japan welcome home appliance brands, device manufacturers, ODM / OEMs, and module vendors to Hall 7 / 7H413. Visitors with product plans may bring their MCU / OS, Wi-Fi / Bluetooth / Thread architecture, firmware conditions, target smart home ecosystem, or production schedule for on-site discussion.
