During Commissioning, Matter devices use Device Attestation to verify identity. Ciot helps plan DACs, Private Keys, Factory Data, and production provisioning.
The Product Attestation Authority is the root of the Matter Device Attestation trust chain. The implementation should be planned around the brand, VID / PID, certification, and production strategy.
The Product Attestation Intermediate connects the PAA to product DACs. Ciot helps define certificate workflows and data requirements for both testing and production.
Each production device receives a unique DAC and corresponding Private Key, with key protection and secure injection planned according to the MCU, TrustZone, or Secure Element architecture.
Matter devices use Device Attestation during commissioning to verify identity. Ciot helps plan DACs, Private Keys, Factory Data, production provisioning, and the Certification Declaration.
