Under the rigorous scrutiny of the National Institute for Cyber Security, CHANGING has achieved the distinction of being the first company in Taiwan to successfully pass the second-stage certification for the "Zero Trust Architecture Device Authentication System" – an accolade for device authentication and device health management.

Taiwan, situated in a geopolitically sensitive region, faces persistent threats from state-sponsored hackers. Government agencies, holding a substantial amount of critical data and serving as vital information hubs in daily life, have become primary targets for cyber attacks. In response to this challenge, the government is actively promoting the development of a Zero Trust Architecture for cybersecurity defense. Aligned with the "National Cyber Security Program of Taiwan (2021 to 2024)," the National Institute for Cyber Security has formulated the "Government Zero Trust Architecture Network Security Strategy." This forward-looking initiative aims to enhance the depth and breadth of defense in the government's internet service network, laying a robust foundation for information security.

CHANGING has deeply immersed itself in Taiwan's cybersecurity industry for 26 years, boasting substantial expertise in research and development, along with a well-established validation domain. The company, driven by its highly specialized R&D capabilities, stands as a pioneering force leading the development of cybersecurity in Taiwan. It has played a crucial role in constructing more secure Zero Trust Architecture environments for government agencies, offering essential support and significantly contributing to the advancement of the country's cybersecurity landscape.

In the Zero Trust Architecture, trust inference involves the dynamic assessment and analysis of various factors such as user behavior, device attributes, and application interactions. This comprehensive evaluation aims to determine credibility and risk levels by integrating multiple factors. Unlike traditional identity and device authentication methods, trust inference incorporates real-time contextual information, including the user's current location, device status, and network connections. Through trust inference, the system can more comprehensively assess and dynamically adjust access permissions to resources, adapting to the evolving threat landscape and enhancing overall security.

CHANGING has successfully obtained the certification for the second stage of the Zero Trust Architecture – Device Authentication.

CHANGING's Zero Trust Architecture solution adopts a phased and progressive strategy, with identity authentication as the foundational cornerstone. Utilizing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and identity claims based on signatures and encryption, the solution ensures precise user identification, laying a solid foundation for constructing a Zero Trust Network. The outstanding performance in authentication is particularly evident in the second stage, device authentication. This involves implementing public-key cryptographic authentication protocols based on software certificates or Trusted Platform Modules (TPM) to confirm whether the user endpoint device is under organizational management. Simultaneously, through continuous monitoring and management of the device's health status, the solution can dynamically update the device's health trust level, ensuring the overall security of the network environment.

While the Zero Trust solution effectively mitigates network security risks, it should be complemented by other measures, such as the ability to securely share data between security classification levels, to maximize its benefits. Additionally, management entities need clear visibility into all network resources, processes, and users to achieve end-to-end security. CHANGING is poised to assist government and enterprises in creating a more secure and robust digital network environment. Embracing Zero Trust as a security framework, it contributes to enhancing security in the network domain. Through collaborative efforts, it showcases its pivotal value in elevating overall cybersecurity.
